Saying that the benefit has been set for 7 November at the Princess and asking if the recipient will allow his name to be added to the list of patrons; on a conjoint leaf is a facsimile of a letter, dated [London] Oct. 19 1863, signed by Andrew Halliday and C[harles] Millward, Honorable Secretaries of the Savage Club, announcing the benefit for Clarke on 7 November, on which occasion he "will make his first appearance on the stage since his severe accident."
